Our High School curriculum provides a variety of academic courses and elective options for our students as well as multiple extracurricular opportunities.  In addition to our athletic programs, our students have opportunities to be involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, a bi-annual missions trip, service projects and more.  High school students are also required to complete service hours each quarter as part of their Bible curriculum.

High school students annually participate in our High School Retreat, prayer groups and our graduating seniors present a Senior Chapel Service as part of their Bible class.

You can learn more about our high school curriculum and opportunities below.

Every other year, high school students have an opportunity to participate in a missions trip.  For several years, our team partnered with 3:18 Ministries and assisted in their work in Southern Arizona.  For 2019, our team is doing something new thanks to a partnership with Trek-X. The team will serve for one week and assist with the refugee population in that area.  To learn more about their trip, you can visit the Trek-X page and our Mission Team Blog.

2019 trip dates are March 23-30.

If you are interested in learning more about our Mission Team or providing assistance for future trips, please contact us at 452-5276.

Madison Johnson, Raina Lindseth and Kenzie Huston were recognized
for their C-SPAN documentary entry on the 2nd Amendment.

Video production and yearbook is an elective option at the high school level. Students have the opportunity to learn basics of video editing, photography and more throughout this course.  The class is responsible for creation of our annual yearbook as well as a regular newscast featuring Foothills news and events.  Students have also partnered with many local businesses including University of Providence and the Children's Museum to create documentaries and promotional footage.

Annually, students participate in the C-SPAN documentary competition.  One of our student groups was selected as a 3rd prize winner in the 2019 competition.  You can learn more about their award here.

You can also check out the newscasts and other productions on our YouTube page

Our class also hosts an annual Foothills Film Festival to screen student videos with our students and families!

If your business is in need of video production, contact Foothills at 452-5276 to explore partnership opportunities.

Student leaders in grades 7-12 have opportunities to serve in our Student Council. The council is responsible for planning a variety of high school events including Prom but also completes annual service projects.  Our Student Leaders assist with many of our school events and serve as ambassadors within our school and community.

Annually, students are provided an opportunity for induction into the Foothills chapter of National Honor Society. Students must meet eligibility criteria and be accepted for membership into the Foothills chapter.  Accepted students participate in service projects at Foothills.

Our Praise Team provides and opportunity for students with musical gifts to share them with their peers through participation on our Praise Team. The team provides worship music for weekly 7-12 grade chapels as well as many of our special events at Foothills. The team is also available for public appearances and are willing to provide music for youth rallies, special youth services and other church activities in our community.  If you are interested in requesting our Praise Team for an event, please contact Ms. Lisa Wallace at 452-5276 or via email at lwallace@foothillschristian.org.
